Design ExplorationWorking on adidas football projects for a wile now,
it was exciting when the Women's World Cup came closer.
I felt there was not enough attention directed towards
the Women's World Cup. I also felt that the communication
and tone of voice was very bad at the time.
Enough reasons for me to the start a bit of personal design
and conceptual exploration.
I came up with:
“MANNSCHAFT, DIE - substantiv, feminin”
that is, what the German dictionary says.
In my opinion it creates the perfect counterpart
to the DFB Male Team “DIE MANNSCHAFT”.
Further I’ve developed ideas on how to mobilize
the female fan and player to create a movement
supporting their teams at the Women's World Cup.
This became the “Girls*Brigade”.

CONCEPT
01THE GIRLS*BRIGADE
The idea was to create a female movement
within adidas key cities.
A community of female players
and fans supporting their team
at the Women’s Football World Cup.
It is not a women’s movement.
It is a football movement for women.
An amplifier for a wider audience
of football fans, male and female alike.
